There was a little bit of water running in the creek today.
The Narrows have interesting rock formations and areas that appear to be "caves" but do not go back into the cliffs very far.
After exiting The Narrows, I climbed the path as it went up the mountain, but only went as far as the first major turn where it starts to become very steep. Here I turned around and headed back down the trail, hiking approximately 2 to 3 miles. I had hiked this entire 5 mile loop in 2008, which I consider an accomplishment for me.
Seems like everytime I hike I see more and more "seniors" out enjoying the trails. The folks are in their 60's and 70's and they are staying healthy by hiking
Gorgeous Kay... Do you hike alone? Ever get scared? We have never been afraid while hiking --but I've never gone alone. Does hubby not like to hike with you?
ReplyDeleteI think I've caught up with your posts now... The wildflower one is gorgeous.. Thanks for the reminder.
We are leaving again on Monday for four days--to celebrate G's birthday...
Hugs,
Betsy
Yes Betsy, I hike alone. My husband is not "outdoorsy" and does not like to hike. If I did not go alone, I'd never get out. So far I've never been scared. I usually hike were there are other hikers and I never get off the trail.
