Today I took my second hike into Whitney Canyon. It looks very different in the fall than it does in the spring. Everything that was green and lush is now brown and dry. There are no wildflowers The creek that runs along the trail and the waterfall at the end of the trail are bone dry.
The last time I hiked this trail was with my brother Keith. This time I went alone. I took my pedometer this time and if the reading is correct, this is a 2 mile round trip hike. Because I stopped along the way and took pictures, it took me about 1 hour 45 minutes to complete.
Great hike, Kay... You did good --and must have been moving along!!!!! I always hike faster when I'm alone.. Guess there aren't too many distractions.
